The Canadian Corkscrew Collectors Club (CCCC) was founded in 1981 when a group of corkscrew collectors in Canada answered a magazine ad asking anyone interested in corkscrews to get together to form a club. Now we are the largest international corkscrew club, with members on five continents.
We have an annual convention in which members buy, sell, and trade, share stories during the “Show and Tell,” participate in our very own live auction and share a few meals and glasses of wine.
Dedicated volunteers keep track of members, publish our The Quarterly Worme newsletter, host our annual meeting, and maintain this website.
Our collective knowledge is encyclopaedic! Check the Library tab above to see the more than 300 articles of interest to corkscrew collectors and historians that have been published in past newsletters.
Do you collect corkscrews? Are you interested in learning more about the history of antique corkscrews? Would you like to connect with other corkscrew collectors? Get advice on something you’re thinking of acquiring? How about the opportunity to travel the world with like-minded individuals who are passionate about food, wine and, of course, corkscrews of all kinds?
Even if you don’t plan on traveling to one of our meetings, you are welcome to join our corkscrew community and participate online.
Membership dues for 2024 are USD $15.
The CCCC annually publishes four editions of our newsletter, The Quarterly Worme. Corkscrew research articles are written by members. You will also find other corkscrew-related bits such as catalogue images, member biographies, members’ yearly Best Six, Annual Meeting announcements, etc. You can view a sample newsletter here.
We hold an annual general meeting for our members and spouses. The location alternates between North America and an international destination determined by the CCCC member who volunteers to host. The AGM is typically a three-day weekend where members will share a few meals (with wine, of course!), possibly have a viewing of a member’s corkscrew collection, participate in a buy and sell session, an actual club meeting, and a live auction.
